Wet chickens.

Some of the chickens seemed to enjoy the heavy rain we had. It usually brings out the worms and grubs in the ground, There were doing a lot of foraging. I'm planning on building a new coop for them in a few months once I have all the wood sorted out and possibly be moving them the larger area at the bottom of the garden.

One didn't make it.

Sadly one of the 3 from the previous post died in the night. The other two are getting stronger by the hour now. I'm not sure if I will re introduce them to the mother hen yet though as they are no where near as strong as the ones that successfully hatched on their own.

So out of 11 eggs I had 9 hatch. That's not bad going at all.

Two that made it.

21 days ago one of my hens started to get broody so I put her in the small pen next to the man coop. A few started hatching this morning and are already running around scratching for food.
